Kumba Abigail Saquee is a trailblazing leader and the CEO of School District Sierra Leone (School District Sierra Leone). As a woman in leadership, she has navigated challenges with resilience and determination, breaking barriers to lead a major educational transformation in Sierra Leone. While pursuing her Master’s degree in Sustainable Development at the University of Makeni, she remains committed to driving meaningful change in the education sector.
Kumba’s journey is one of perseverance, passion, and purpose. She understands that improving education requires more than policies—it demands tireless effort, strategic vision, and an unwavering commitment to change. She has dedicated herself to ensuring that every child in Sierra Leone, regardless of background, has access to quality education and the resources they need to succeed.
Her leadership is driven by a bold vision—to create an education system where students are not just counted but truly valued, where schools operate efficiently, and where learning outcomes reflect the potential and brilliance of Sierra Leonean children. She believes that empowering schools means empowering the future of the nation.
